1. Message from AIAMI President Celeste Novak

Message from AIAMI President Celeste Novak, AIA

Please join us to celebrate the end of a great year at the Beaubien House.  The party starts at 4:40pm to 7:00pm and their will be food and drink for all.  I encourage you to support an AIA Michigan tradition of giving by asking that you bring canned goods to our party to donate to the Fireman’s Fund.

We have included a few important dates in this e-newsletter and hope that you will mark your calendars NOW for next year’s  Construction Expo, National Convention, Grassroots, Mackinac and the Design Retreat.  The Leadership Retreat will be the weekend of January 16, and is an opportunity for a winter break for you and your family.

Many members made this year a success.   I want to thank all board members, our  chapter leadership, and  active committees who challenged what we do and began new programs and new initiatives in livable communities, government affairs and public awareness.   A special thanks to our staff and consultants who allowed us to push the envelope in a year of major repairs and even a flood in the Beaubien House.

Cheers to the New Year and a toast to the old.  See you soon.

The great thing about being an architect is
that you can walk into your dreams"
